Linguistics is commonly defined as the science of language (Lyons, 1991: 16). It’s in line in Robins (1971), that general linguistics may be defined as the science of language. In past centuries, this science of language has been growing fast. Language matters for human life because it plays greater role in the world and between people. It facilitates people as a medium for communication. As it's growing fast, the study of it too, raises a variety of influential figures with its overwhelming theories that talk about Linguistics.
